Proofs Michelle Obama Is The Most ELEGANT First Lady We’ve Had In Recent History

By  |

Michelle Obama, certainly the most elegant First Lady to have occupied the White House for several years, has handled her time with poise, style, and grace under relentless attacks from Republicans and their standard-bearer, Republican nominee Donald Trump.

In Michelle Obama’s first campaign speech on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, she was absolutely electric. One gets the sense that Obama is no longer interested in biting her tongue as her time as First Lady is coming to an end.

She’s earned the right to speak out against Republicans and wasted no time coming exactly to the point. Republicans and their criticism have been baseless and empty. Michelle Obama decisively called out the right-wing for their claims President Obama was not born in the United States:

People had all kinds of questions about what kind of president Barack would be, things like, does he understand us? Will he protect us? And then, of course, there were those who questioned and continue to question for the past eight years, up through this very day, whether my husband was even born in this country.

The crowd began to boo, and Michelle Obama changed her tune and listed some of her husband’s accomplishments:

He’s answered these questions with the progress that we have achieved together, progress like bringing healthcare to 20 million people. Creating 15 million private sector jobs. Helping millions of young people like all of you afford college. Expanding LGBT writes and marriage equality. And we just learned that last year, the typical household income rose by $2800, which by the way, is the largest one-year jump on record. And 3.5 million people were lifted out of poverty. That’s the biggest one-year decrease in poverty in nearly 50 years. You hear me?

The First Lady spoke about some of the reasons why Hillary Clinton has her vote:

It is excruciatingly clear that there is only one person in this election we can trust with those responsibilities, only one person with the qualifications and the temperament for that job. And that is our friend, Hillary Clinton.

We’ve seen her dedication to public service. How after law school she chose to be an advocate for kids with disabilities. She fought for children’s health care as First Lady, for quality child care as a senator.
And when she didn’t win the presidency in 2008, she didn’t throw in the towel. She, once again, answered the call to serve, keeping us safe as our Secretary of State.

The First Lady, ever a symbol of dignity, kept it classy while letting the audience know about her disdain for the slimy blubbering mountain of lies named Donald Trump:

We cannot afford to squander this opportunity, particularly given the alternative, because here is what we know — that being president is not anything like reality TV.
It is not about sending insulting tweets or making fiery speeches. It is about whether or not the candidate can handle the awesome responsibility of leading this country.

The consequences of the upcoming election are higher than they have ever been in America. We are involved in a true make-or-break scenario, where one road will lead to prosperity and the other will undoubtedly lead to ruin. Michelle Obama conveyed as much to the audience:

I want to you remember what’s at stake.

The choice that you make will determine whether you can afford college tuition. It will determine whether you can keep your healthcare when you graduate. You will decide whether we have a president who believes in science and will fight climate change or not. You will decide whether we have a president who will honor our proud history as a nation of immigrants or not. You will decide whether we have a president who thinks that women deserve the right to make their own choices about their bodies and their health or not.

Michelle Obama’s comments are not mere rhetoric, but a reflection of the reality America faces.n. Donald Trump has vowed to build a wall across Mexico’s border with the United States.

He has promised to dismantle The Affordable Care Act, putting millions of Americans at risk. Trump believes climate change is a hoax created by the Chinese, despite this summer being the hottest summer on record.

Donald Trump wants to penalize women criminally if they decide not having a child is the correct decision for their lives. The consequences of this election are real, and there is absolutely only one choice a thinking person should make — Hillary Clinton must win or the entirety of America will lose.
